Tender of the Week: Rhododendron clearance project

Contractor is sought to clear rhododendron from Welsh woodland near Llandovery.

Nature conservation charity the RSPB has issued a tender for Rhododendron eradication workin Carmarthenshire, South Wales.

Contractors will be expected to use stem injection with glyphosate to a prescribed methodology in two areas within NRW-owned woodland, Rhaedr forest, near Rhandirmwyn.

Both areas feature mainly scattered Rhododendron bushes of varying sizes, with one or two more dense patches. Area 1 is 5.6 ha and area 2 is 6.2 ha.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 03 August 2026.
