ICL Sales Manager Adrian Thirtle-Watts said: “To support the transition to peat-free, ICL has two new Fibagro Advance grades Super Fine (0-3mm) and Fine (0-10mm) - which join our Standard, and Coarse grades. Manufactured from by-products from the UK timber industry, Fibagro Advance is a sustainable input within a circular economy.
“By screening and blending our four Fibagro Advance fractions we can optimise the performance of our sustainable mixes. At Four Oaks we will showcase six proven new peat-reduced and peat-free Levington Advance mixes for ornamental crops, from propagation to CNS production. As always, our mixes can also be tailored to nurseries’ specific requirements.”
At Four Oaks, ICL is launching its new high performance Fibagro Advance Pot Topper FT to the UK market. Winner of the ‘Best New Product Award’ at the recent GLAS trade show in Dublin, this water-activated, binder-enhanced pot topper offers effective weed suppression and moisture retention in container nursery stock. Thanks to a unique ICL binder, the product remains stable even in windy conditions or if pots fall over. Applied manually, or via an automated pot-topping machine, it combines convenience with strong performance. Demonstrations and free samples will be available on the stand.
To help the edibles sector meet rising sustainability demands and comply with peat-reduction targets, ICL has developed its first peat-reduced blocking substrate – Levington® Advance Blocking FT (Fusion Technology). Designed for field crop propagation using blocking trays, it is formulated with a combination of milled peat and Fibagro Advance and features ICL’s fusion technology - ensuring blocks hold together until roots are fully formed.
Other stand highlights include the opportunity to talk to ICL’s technical team regarding bespoke growing media and nutrition packages incorporating Osmocote 5, Universol and Peters controlled release and water solubles ranges; the cost-effective 3-in-1 wetting agent H2Gro; the eco-conscious growing media incorporated vine weevil control Lalguard M52; and Vitalnova TriBoost - the microbial inoculant boosting plant vitality in sustainable media.
Having recently acquired GreenBest - the UK-based manufacturer of tailored specialty fertilisers will also feature its product portfolio on the ICL stand.
