Porters Fuchsias is looking at producing yellow and blue planters to help the cause.
Gardening Express has been shipping aid to Ukraine. He is also looking for a warehouse in the Maidstone area to help another Ukraine aid point and to help international students stuck in Sumy city in Ukraine.
Seeds of Italy's Paolo Arrigo is also in eastern Europe, delivering aid. He said: "Just got back from the Ukranian border, the situation is desperate. I’m going back. Plenty are taking needed aid, but we are rescuing refugees, I picked up three amazing people, kids same age as mine, took them to safety to a friend in south Poland, very emotional. Deco-Pak has sent several pallets of essentials to those in war-torn Ukraine. The pallets include essential toiletries and basic necessities.
Craig Hall, director at Deco-Pak, said: “There was no way we could see the events that are taking place in Ukraine without stepping up and doing what we can. We are lucky in that we have many existing partnerships with haulage companies and the Ukrainian community so have been able to react quickly and get essentials on the road to those at the heart of the conflict.
“Providing help to those most vulnerable is something we hope others in our community might consider doing and, if they do, we’d happily share our insight. We firmly believe that anything we can do together, no matter how little it might feel, to help those facing such a humanitarian crisis is worth trying."
On Sunday 13 March, Batsford Arboretum in Gloucestershire will be donating 50% of their proceeds to the UK Disaster and Emergencies Committee (DEC) to help those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
