'Stupid' to grow petunias in peat, says Alys Fowler
Speaking at the Beth Chatto Symposium at University of Essex, garden writer and broadcaster Alys Fowler said the peat bog system is a "beautiful beast" but there is no "binding legislation" to stop them being mined.
