A sunny year for horticulture began with several Dobbies garden centres finding new operators then hitting the ground running as fine weather helped sales peak early. A long, dry summer slowed trade with hosepipe bans becoming an issue.

HortWeek new special events included new plants with Michael Perry at IPMpeat debate with Sarah Dyke MP, Women in Horticulture at Lord Heseltine's Thenford, Hort Question Time, new plants at Gardeners' World Live, Rochford Roses, kit tests, Four Oaks, Groundsfest and ArbWeek. We used video, podcasts, interactive maps, trackers and exclusive news and analysis to cover everything happening in professional horticulture in 2025.
