New Fibagro Advance Pot Topper FT delivers effective, sustainable weed control

To support weed suppression and moisture retention in container-grown nursery stock, ICL is introducing Fibagro Advance Pot Topper with Fusion Technology (FT) - a high-performance, woodfibre-based pot topper offering excellent value and ease of use.

ICL technical manager for growing media Stuart Gammage said. “Simple to apply, either manually or using an automated pot-topping machine, Fibagro Advance Pot Topper combines convenience with strong performance.

“Once applied, its advanced Fusion Technology (FT) is activated by water, triggering a unique binder that locks the woodfibre in place. It allows full water penetration from irrigation or rainfall yet effectively blocks light – providing excellent weed control. Thanks to the unique ICL binder, the product remains stable even in windy conditions or if pots fall over.”

The Fibagro Advance Pot Topper FT includes FSC-certified raw materials, sourced as a by-product from the British timber industry.  Part of a circular economy, the wood chips undergo a thermo-mechanical treatment that renders the material sterile, free of chemical or physical additives, and is sustainable.

ICL Fibagro Advance Pot Topper FT is available to buy now in 75L bags, bulk, Probales or bulk bags and will be officially launched at the Four Oaks Trade Show in September.
