Alistair Taylor is technical area sales manager for Origin Amenity Solutions. With more than 30 years of service, he specializes in turf, grounds maintenance, and sports surface advisory.
Starting as a technical sales rep in 1996, he moved into management in 2009.
He trained at Elmwood College and brings practical greenkeeping experience from his early career at East Kilbride Golf Club.

What are some of the things your clients are doing to create more resilient landscapes?
Clients are combining recycled materials with organically enriched waste from tree and shrub collections. They are also using wildflower mixes to reduce mowing, enhance biodiversity, and create pollinator corridors.
Considering climate change's impact on the landscape and amenity sector, what innovations are you seeing that will help mitigate seasonal changes?
Using naturally occurring microbes and enzymes when planting trees and shrubs, alongside recycled composts, to cut carbon emissions and create more wildflower areas.
What are you most looking forward to at GroundsFest?
Meeting clients and colleagues from across the UK to learn what is happening nationwide and understand the challenges clients face in putting these ideas into practice.
