Garden centre sales rely on catering as hosepipe bans hit

Driven by strong café (+10%) and non-garden (+8%) growth, August garden centre sales rose +2% overall—and +7% against 2024—even as core retail fell -3%, pulling gardening categories below half of total revenue.
