Four Oaks has a new Educate, Innovate & Collaborate conference zone for this year’s 50th anniversary show.

Day one (6 September) focuses on Technical and Environmental matters and day two (7 September) People and Skills.

Tammy Woodhouse from GCA/Millbrook is speaking on the Sustainability in Horticulture panel on day one, with Dave Denny of the HTA, Vicky Nuttall from GIMA, Zelari's Stefano Sogni and Steve Harper from Southern Trident/Responsible Sourcing Scheme, who will also make a presentation on the RSS, with Steve Carter from Fleurie Nurseries and Neil Bragg.

6 September

10am: Biopesticides: Ant Surrage, Fargro

11am: Discussing sustainable growing solutions: Grow, nurture, protect your future – ICL

12 noon: Responsible Sourcing Scheme with Steve Harper, Steve Carter and Neil Bragg.

12.45pm: Sustainability in Horticulture with chair Matthew Appleby, HortWeek editor; Tammy Woodhouse from GCA/Millbrook, Dave Denny of the HTA, Vicky Nuttall from GIMA and Steve Harper from Southern Trident/Responsible Sourcing Scheme.

2pm: APHA/Defra on handling a non native pest outbreak in garden centres/nurseries with Derek McCann, Paul Bratby, Helen Long and Natalie Vallone.

3pm: Plant Healthy - Alastair Yeomans

7 September

11am: Horticulture workers Rachael Forsyth of HortWeek with Perennial's Helen Waddington

12.30pm: Planting for a sustainable future: Chair Clare Matterson CBE, new RHS director general with John Huibers of Tamar Nurseries, Stefano Sogni of Zelari and garden designer Ruth Willmott.
