As part of the Urban Tree Challenge Fund and Local Authority Treescape fund requirements, Essex County Council is looking to procure a contractor to water and Maintain 2151 urban standard trees across the county in 2025, 1894 in summer 2026 and 578 in summer 2027.
The Urban Tree Challenge Fund was set up to support the planting and establishment of standard trees in urban and peri-urban areas in England. The Local Authority Treescapes Fund supported the establisment of trees outside of woodland. Both funds were withdrawn on 28 March 2025
The overall value of the tender is £721,800 including VAT split into two lots.
Lot 1 - Northern Cluster
This service includes the watering and maintenance of trees located in the north of Essex - £323,340 including VAT
Lot 2 - Southern Cluster
This service includes the watering and maintenance of trees located in the south of Essex - £398,460 including VAT
The tender will run from 1 August 2025 to 31 December 2027.
