The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation has launched its range of scholarships and applications are welcomed from students studying a broad base of horticultural and plant science topics, through a UK-based university or college, whether as a full-time or part-time course, or through an apprenticeship scheme.

Smart Garden Products Student Scholarship scheme returns, with the bonus of financial support and the opportunity for students to get involved with the Knowledge Development Tour as part of the scheme.

Added to the range of scholarships for 2025 is the Wyevale Nurseries Scholarship for students with a
particular interest in the commercial products of hardy nursery stock. Also new for 2025 is the RHS
bursary scheme, aimed specifically towards those studying for their Level 2 or 3 RHS Qualification.

Chair of trustees Jeff Colegrave said: “We recognise the cost impact of studies is growing significantly for students and as a result, as well as increasing the number of scholarships we offer, we have also increased the value of many of them. We are extremely grateful to all our sponsors including Smart Garden Products, Blue Diamond, BOA, Ball Horticulture, The Crispa Foundation and the Worshipful
Company of Gardeners, for their continued support and are delighted to have new sponsors
joining us including Wyevale Nurseries and the RHS.”

The Foundation offers a variety of scholarships which students can use to help with the costs of their
studies, from course fees to materials and resources, along with a number of other scholarships on
more specialist areas of plant science and research, none of which are means tested, but judged on
the attitude, ability and ambition of the applicant. There is a single, simplified online application process and you will find full details and application advice for all the scholarships, including those offered in conjunction with the Royal Society of Biology and Markham Colegrave International Scholarship, on the Colegrave Seabrook Foundation website www.colegraveseabrookfoundation.org.uk
