The scheme has been developed to create long-term, collaborative partnerships with organisations that share British Growers' commitment to helping UK horticulture thrive.
Rather than focusing solely on sponsorship, the scheme is designed to encourage year-round engagement, knowledge sharing and practical support for growers.
Each partnership will be tailored to reflect the partner's expertise and objectives while providing British Growers' members with access to specialist knowledge, services and industry insight.
Partnership opportunities include:
• Technical articles and thought leadership
• Webinars and educational events
• Conference sponsorship and speaking opportunities
• Member introductions and networking
• Podcasts and video interviews
• Social media campaigns and partner spotlights
• Industry roundtable discussions
• Collaborative projects
• Dedicated partner profiles on the British Growers website
Several organisations have already agreed to join the Partnership Scheme, with partnership agreements being finalised. These organisations represent expertise across finance, legal services, agricultural technology, plant breeding, food redistribution and business support. British Growers looks forward to announcing its founding partners "in due course, with further partnership announcements expected over the coming months".
British Growers head of partnerships and administration Lisa Stannard said: "The Partnership Scheme is about building genuine relationships that benefit both our members and our partners. We wanted to create something that goes beyond traditional sponsorship by encouraging organisations to become actively involved throughout the year. Every partner will bring different expertise and experience to the scheme, whether that's finance, technology, legal support, research or innovation. By working together, we can provide our members with greater access to trusted advice, practical support and new
opportunities."
John Walgate, CEO of British Growers, said: "Collaboration has always been at the heart of British Growers. This new Partnership Scheme provides a framework for organisations to work more closely with us and with our members in ways that deliver lasting value for the industry. We have been encouraged by the interest shown already and look forward to welcoming our first partners over the coming months."
