The Four Oaks Trade Show will bring international horticulture to its Cheshire nursery site from 2-3 September 2026. Taking place during the week of the late August Bank Holiday, the event provides UK plant buyers with an opportunity to source and specify stock at scale, comparing British-grown material with wide ranges from Europe and beyond.

Four Oaks is well-known for hosting a large display of Italian stock. This year’s contingent from Pistoia, Italy, which features specimen trees and Mediterranean plants, includes first-time exhibitors Societa Agricola San Giovanni SRL/Vivai Piante Biagini. The company produces and exports more than 1,000 varieties of outdoor ornamental plants, supplying garden centres, retailers and landscape buyers across Europe.

Vivai Vitale is returning to the show after a 10-year absence, bringing its Italian nursery offer to House E. Based in Casalguidi, near Pistoia, the company supplies ornamental plants and nursery stock for the professional horticultural market.

Established Italian exhibitors, including Carlesi Vivai, Consorzio Ortovivaisti Pistoiesi SRL and Zelari Piante, will also be present, underlining the show’s links to one of Europe’s key plant production areas.

From Germany, seed-raised ornamental specialist Ernst Benary Samenzucht GmbH is set to return. The family-owned global seed breeding company specialises in bedding plants, with a portfolio spanning annuals, biennials, perennials, grasses, cut flowers and pot plants. Its range includes commercial lines such as begonias, pansies, petunias, pentas, tagetes, violas and zinnias, alongside new varieties and award-winning introductions.

Pepinieres Rogalski adds to the French representation at the show. The nursery focuses on unusual and distinctive varieties, with 16,000 sq m of glasshouse production dedicated to ornamental plants. Its range includes nursery stock and contract-grown lines such as Choisya, Cordyline, Daphne, Gardenia, Grevillea and Loropetalum.

Boomkwekerij ’t Kempke is also among the new exhibitors, adding further depth to the show’s Dutch nursery presence. Dutch exhibitors continue to make up a significant part of the show’s international profile, accounting for around 10% of the current exhibitor list. Dutch growers either exhibit exclusively at Four Oaks in the UK or use the show to present a far broader range than anywhere else.

The Dutch lorry displays from Impulse Plants, Plantline and J.C. Stolwijk remain one of the show’s most distinctive features, creating a highly practical, trade-focused way for buyers to view stock, compare ranges and have direct conversations with growers.

Representing the UK

Among the returning UK exhibitors is Frank P Matthews, one of the country’s leading specialist tree nurseries. The Worcestershire grower produces more than one million container-grown and bare-root fruit and ornamental trees each year, supplying garden centres, mail-order businesses, commercial growers and retail customers. Its range includes more than 200 varieties of fruit trees and over 400 ornamentals. The nursery was recently shortlisted for the Plant of the Year 2026 award at the Chelsea Flower Show with Prunus ‘Sumaura-fugenzo’.

Another new exhibitor is Bloomin Forests, a Lancashire-based specialist in cell-grown trees. Producing more than ten million cell-grown trees annually across its UK sites, the company supplies broadleaves, conifers, shrubs and hedging for woodland creation, restocking, hedge planting and amenity use. Its offer also includes contract growing and direct-to-site delivery for forestry, landscape, local authority and large-scale planting projects.

These companies join long-time British exhibitors, including Ball, David Austin Roses, Farplants, Fairweathers, Kernock Park Plants, McLaren’s Nurseries, Newey, Seiont and Volmary.

And it's not just about plants

Four Oaks also features a wide array of associated products, services and machinery, catering to a visitor profile that includes commercial growers, retail nurseries, independent garden centres, garden centre chains, multiple retailers, landscapers and garden designers.

Among the new exhibitors is Bees Seeds, making its Four Oaks debut with a retail-ready seed offer for garden centres and horticultural retailers. Its range includes garden seeds, own-label options, ready-to-merchandise packaging and in-store support.

The scale of the technical and sundries exhibition is reflected in the number of regular exhibitors taking large stands. Major names booked for the 2026 event include Royal Brinkman, Creation Horticulture, Fargro, Hortec, LBS Horticulture, Pöppelmann, Sinclair and XL Horticulture.
