Welcome to the new look HortWeek.com
Hi there – it’s been a while since we last reviewed the HortWeek website but a combination of your comments and exciting new technologies has led to us to take pause and reflect on the experience we’re giving our readers.
You have been telling us that the site is too cluttered, too random and too difficult to navigate. You’re finding it too hard to discover the things that matter – the news and opinion, the analysis, the need-to-know sectors like retail, ornamentals and landscaping.
We’ve listened to your concerns and we have acted.
We’ve created a simplified user experience, more obviously tagged and focusing on the content that we know matters to you the most. The big stories about horticulture business mergers, the peat-free debate, garden centres, people moves, events like Four Oaks and Groundsfest, next gen horticulturalists, the tenders tracker etc, will now all be easier to find.
We’ve also added weekly comment from myself, the editor, and our technical editor, Sally Drury.
We’ve rebooted the HortWeek TV channel and will be extensively using video to check out garden centres, test new products, interview key people, bring the full colour of events like Chelsea and spotlight real-world experiences and valuable human perspectives.
And don’t forget to join the most talked about game in horticulture and test your skills at HortWeek’s Hortle plant challenge!
So take a look around, explore our cleaner spaces and let us know what you think.
Welcome to the new HortWeek. And enjoy.
