Four Oaks

For decades, the Four Oaks Trade Show has been a key date in the horticulture calendar. It’s where growers, suppliers and industry experts come together to trade, share knowledge and discover new ideas. Practical, welcoming and rooted in sector expertise, the show combines business, inspiration and connection, all under one roof.

Here are seven reasons why it continues to be a must-visit event.

1. A welcoming, practical event

Four Oaks is a fixture many horticulture professionals mark in their diaries. Practical, approachable and rooted in sector expertise, it brings the industry together and keeps businesses connected.

2. Atmosphere that sets it apart

The show feels less like a formal exhibition and more like a gathering of people who enjoy their work. Conversations flow easily, whether catching up with familiar contacts, meeting new suppliers, or discussing shared challenges.

3. A full spectrum of exhibitors

Visitors can explore young plants, finished stock, machinery, growing media, packaging and specialist services. Seeing products in person and comparing options side by side remains invaluable despite the shift to digital.

4. Innovation on display

Many exhibitors use the event to launch products, introduce new plant varieties, or demonstrate efficiency-boosting solutions. Walking the show often sparks ideas visitors take back to their businesses, from fresh suppliers to small process improvements.

5. Accessible for all

Large operators and independent nurseries mix on equal terms. The open environment is particularly valuable for younger growers and newcomers, who can learn from experienced professionals and begin building long-term relationships.

6. Engaged, focused audience

Visitors attend with genuine interest, creating meaningful conversations rather than rushed interactions. Exhibitors can explain offerings, gather honest feedback and strengthen relationships while meeting new prospects.

7. Resilient and forward-looking

Four Oaks reflects the practical, adaptable mindset of the horticulture sector. It provides space for collaboration, knowledge sharing and inspiration, supporting businesses as they plan for the future.

Improvements for 2026

After the 2025 show, organisers gathered feedback from exhibitors and visitors, highlighting visitor flow and footfall balance. This year, the registration office will move, and a one-way visitor system will be introduced to more evenly distribute traffic and improve visibility for all exhibitors.

It’s a practical, considered move that reflects the show’s collaborative approach: turning real-world feedback into meaningful action. By fine-tuning the visitor journey, Four Oaks aims to create a better experience for attendees while delivering stronger value and fairer exposure for every exhibitor. Please note the show will take place on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd September this year after the August Bank Holiday, in response to feedback.
